He was predeceased by: his parents, James Nesmith and Anna Bell Nesmith; his grandparents, Eddie Green Sr. and Lottie Green; and his brothers, Mack and James Michael Nesmith.
He is survived by: his children, Latoya Pickney of Indiana, Ramona Reed of South Carolina, Mirene Box of Illinois and Jalil Reed of South Carolina; his grandchildren, Kyson, Keymoni, Kaneil Pickney of Indiana, Katura Pickney of Louisiana, Tyra Gillard, Jaquan Shackleford, Antonio Thomas, Jamari Reed of South Carolia, Donald Box, Ciara Box and Dominique Box of Illinois; his aunt Elizabeth Brown; his uncle Melvin Green of Georgetown, S. C; and his siblings, Willie Mae Nesmith of Chesapeake, V. A, Vernetha Gibson, Loretta Gibson, Pecola Gibson and Robert Nesmith. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
