He was predeceased by: his spouse Gail Leonard Gilhuly; his siblings, Eleanor Connors, John, Frank, Edward, James and David Gilhuly; and his parents, Frank Gilhuly and Mary Carey Gilhuly.
He is survived by: his children, Robert T. Gilhuly Jr. (Maggie), Lynn Borelli (Joseph) of Hamden and Michael Gilhuly (Roz) of Wallingford; his grandchildren, Christopher Borelli (Megan), Marc Borelli (Michelle), Joseph Borelli (Michelle), Matthew Borelli, Ryan Gilhuly (Kerry), Kaitlyn Wall (Ryan), Mary Connelly (Sean), Emma Gilhuly, Kevin Gilhuly and Shane Gilhuly; his great grandchildren, Shia, Brayden, Max, Caeson, Erin, Isla, Madelyn and Quinn; and his sister Marion F. Gilhuly of Guilford. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
