He was predeceased by: his parents, Nicholas Vitale and Antoinette Meneo Vitale; and his siblings, Mary Lou Cohen (Moe), Stanley "Sonny" Vitale (Linda) and Nicholas Vitale Jr. (Connie).
He is survived by: his wife Mary Apuzzo Vitale; his children, Robert Vitale Jr., Richard Vitale (Debra Bennett) and Melissa DeGrand (Steve); his daughter-in-law Sandra Colvano Vitale; his brothers, Frederick Vitale (late Sharyn) and Antonio Vitale; and his great grandchildren, Kamrin, Ezra and Parker. He is also survived by several loving nieces, nephews, and cousins.
