He was predeceased by: his wife Barbara Kraussmann Mooney; his parents, William Mooney and Margaret Galvin Mooney; and his siblings, Marie Odell, William Mooney, John Mooney, Lillian Moore and Betty Barone.
He is survived by: his children, Thomas Mooney (Janie) of Wallingford, William Mooney of Ansonia, John Mooney (Mariann Callahan) of Wallingford, Joseph Mooney (Karen) of Cromwell and Debra Crouch (Darell) of East Haven; and his sister Ann Rushley (Gene) of Columbus, OH. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, four great grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
