She was predeceased by: her parents, Maria Ignacia Perez Borelli and Felipe Martinez-Perez; her sons, Miguel Velez, Luis Antonio Velez and Victor Velez; her siblings, Eladia, Marisol, Milagros, Mecca, Luis Felipe and Ramon; her granddaughter Mayra; and her son-in-law Valentin Rodriguez.
She is survived by: her grandson Robert Jones; and her daughters, Ramonita, Ana and Ivette. She is also survived by 18 grandchildren, more than 30 great-grandchildren, a handful of great-great-grandsons, and many cherished nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
In her later years, she faced Alzheimer's disease with remarkable courage, grace, and resilience.
