It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Carmen Julia Torres-Martinez of Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on October 7, 2025, at the age of 69, leaving to mourn family and friends. As Carmen departs from this earthly realm, her essence lingers — a whisper on the wind, a ripple on the water — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of life and death. Though Carmen may no longer walk beside us, her spirit lives on in the memories and the legacy Carmen leaves behind.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Manuel Torres Sierra and Valerie Martinez Vasquez; and her pet Sammy. She is survived by: her children, Anibal Figueroa and Wanda Figueroa of East Hartford; her granddaughter Analiz Figueroa of Waterbury; and her siblings, Manuel Torres of Puerto Rico, Yolanda Torres Rivera (Junior) of Puerto Rico and Santa Cosme Torres (Harry) of Puerto Rico.
