Ethel V. Nowacki Obituary
We are sad to announce that on July 22, 2025, at the age of 99, Ethel V. Nowacki of Hartford, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parent Evanthia "Mary" Vounatso; her husband Henry C. Nowacki; and her siblings, John Vounatso, Dr. William Vaun, Marcey Antonaksis, Katherine Maliszewski, Irene Turek and Angeline Cofer.
She is survived by: her daughter Leslie N. Traver (Adams) of Gales Ferry; and her sister-in-law Sally Vaun. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the St. George Greek Orthodox Church (433 Fairfield Ave, Hartford, CT 06114). A funeral service will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral (433 Fairfield Ave, Hartford, CT 06114). A burial will be held on Monday, July 28th 2025 at the Cedar Hill Cemetery (453 Fairfield Ave, Hartford, CT 06114).
In lieu of flowers, contributions in Ethel's memory may be made to St. George Greek Orthodox Cathedral.
