We are sad to announce that on March 1, 2023, at the age of 76, Ismael Hernandez of Hartford, Connecticut passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by : his siblings, Augustine Hernandez-Garcia and Primitiva Perez-Garcia. He is survived by : his sibling Puerto Rico; his wife Rosa Hernandez (Pena); his children, Ivette Hernandez, Ismael Hernandez Jr. and Marisol Hernandez; and his grandchildren, Jamahl of Amber, T. J. and Nate.

A very special thank you to Carmelo and Estella for all their love and support through his difficult struggle with Dementia and Alzheimer's. Ismael always said, "When I die, I want music and no tears.".
