He is survived by: his parents, Wilfredo Fernandez and Nilda Sanchez; his husband John Vrakas; his siblings, Jorge Sanchez, Lester Simonetty, Wilfredo Fernandez Jr., Daniel Sanchez, Julio Maldonado, Jomaira Sanchez, Jahaira Sanchez, Ramon Santiago, Devina Manganiello and Justin Gonzalez; his parents-in-law, Filippos and Anastasia Vrakas; his siblings-in-law, Paraskevi Barlas (John) and Sam Vrakas (Sara); his nieces and nephews, Jorge, Melina, Kayla, Javien, Sophia, Lilliana, Rayne, Julio Jr., Yazmarie, Serenity, Nyzel, Zayden, Olivia and George; and his goddaughter Freya. He is also survived by cousins, family members and dear friends.

Visitation was held on Friday, September 25th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Dillon-Baxter Funeral Home (1276 Berlin Turnpike, Wethersfield, CT 06109). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at the same location. A burial was held on Saturday, September 26th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Cedar Hill Cemetery (453 Fairfield Ave, Hartford, CT 06114).
