We bid farewell to Laura S. Copeland (Hartford, Connecticut), whose journey of life gracefully concluded on January 5, 2026 at the age of 89. Laura touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Nina Sampson and Olie Sampson; her husband Booker T. Copeland Jr.; her siblings, Odell Sampson and Thelma Ford; her brother-in-law Mack Hawkins; and her sons-in-law, Raymond Tyson, Larry Gant and Paul Stone.
She is survived by: her sister Lois Hawkins of East Hartford, CT; her nieces, Patricia C. Tyson of Bloomfield, CT, Linda C. Gant of Bloomfield, CT, Sharon L. Copeland (Billy Bowen) of Bloomfield, CT and Josephine Copeland (Sean Williams) of New Castle, DE.; and her nephew Booker T. Copeland III of Hollywood, FL. She is also survived by 11 grandchildren, 13 great-grandchildren, 2 great-great-grandchildren, and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family, church family, and friends.
