She was predeceased by: her close friend Fran Friedman; her brother Jerome Nisselbaum; her parents, Miriam Nisselbaum and George Nisselbaum; and the father of her children Marvin Steinberg.
She is survived by: her children, Joan Steinberg (Russell Clift), Carol Steinberg (Jerome Rubin) and James Steinberg (Paola Di Stefano); her grandchildren, Miriam Rubin (John Stewart), Noah (Jacquelin Steinberg-Di Stefano), Julia Rubin (Destiny Keitt), Ilana (Zachary Wyner) and Zoe Steinberg-Di Stefano (Tyler France); and her great grandchildren, Ezra, Melodie, Maya, Issolina and Marlowe.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital.
