He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Iola Catherine Johnston (Bowman) and Dr. John Howard Johnston; his daughter Julia Whitney Johnston of Tampa, Florida; his sister Betsy Johnston; his nephew John Bartlett; his brother Todd Johnston (Diane); his nephew Andrew Johnston; and his niece Katherine Johnston Cressey. He was also cherished by parents, family members, and cherished pets.
