With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Wanda Rog of Hartford, Connecticut, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Wanda left this world on May 5, 2026 at the age of 86, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Edward Rog; her parents, Stanislaw Lelek and Maria Lelek (Ziobro); and her brothers, Czeslaw Lelek, Jozef Lelek and Jan Lelek.
She is survived by: her children, Adam Edward Rog of West Hartford, Wieslaw Edward Rog of Torrington and Eva Maria Velez (Ricardo) of Glastonbury; and her grandchildren, Nicholas Rog of Lexington, KY, Christopher Rog of Madison, WI, Caitlin Rog of West Hartford, Isabella Velez of Glastonbury and Alexander Velez of Glastonbury. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Thursday, May 7th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM and on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 9:15 AM at the Waszkelewicz South Green Memorial (43 Wethersfield Ave, Hartford, CT 06114). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Cyril & Methodius Church (63 Popieluszko Ct, Hartford, CT 06106). A graveside service was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Mt. St. Benedict Cemetery (1 Cottage Grove Rd, Bloomfield, CT 06002). A reception was held on Friday, May 8th 2026 at 12:15 PM at 1936 Blue Hills Ave Ext, Windsor, CT 06095.
