Mary L. Bendoraitis Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Mary L. Bendoraitis of Harwinton, Connecticut, who passed away on October 5, 2025, at the age of 93, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Clarence LaChapelle and Ruth LaChapelle (Bennett); her husband John Bendoraitis; and her grandson Joe Bendoraitis. She is survived by: her children, John Bendoraitis (Chris) of Lebanon, Tom Bendoraitis (Chris) of Rhode Island, Susan Beyus (Chris) of Harwinton, Tony Bendoraitis (Betty) of Florida, Liz Hanlon (Paul) of Torrington, Pat Bendoraitis of Harwinton and Marianne Menta (Michael) of Middletown. She is also survived by 15 grandchildren, 25 great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Gleeson-Ryan Funeral Home (258 Prospect St, Torrington, CT 06790). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Immaculate Heart of Mary Church (78 Litchfield Rd, Harwinton, CT 06791). An entombment will be held on Monday, October 13th 2025 at 12:15 PM at the St. Peter Cemetery (236 E Pearl Rd, Torrington, CT 06790).
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial contributions be made to Our Lady of Hope Parish, P.O. Box 285, New Hartford, CT 06057.
