We announce the death of Eleanor Button of Hebron, Connecticut, who passed away on October 10, 2026, at the age of 97. Eleanor will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. She was predeceased by: her parents, E. Allan Blish and Sarah Blish (Lord); her husband Milton S. Button Jr.; her granddaughter Catherine Sellinger; and her siblings, Dorothy West, Ruth Gidley and E. Allan Blish Jr..
She is survived by: her daughters, Sarah Poulin of Auburn, Maine, Evelyn Dillman of Hebron and Marilyn Henry of Hebron; and her grandchildren, Richard (Ann), Michael (Debra), Matthew Sellinger (Makalla) of Maine, Thomas (Lisa), Robert (Tiffany) of Massachusetts, Scott Bernier of Hebron, Jennifer Bernier of East Haddam, Brian Henry (Megan) of Maryland and David Henry of Hebron. She is also survived by her 10 great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 16th 2026 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Spencer Funeral Home (112 Main St, East Hampton, CT 06424). A burial will be held on Saturday, October 17th 2026 at 11:30 AM at the Rose Hill Cemetery (580 Elm St, Rocky Hill, CT 06067). A memorial service will be held on Sunday, October 18th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Marlborough Congregational Church (35 S Main St, Marlborough, CT 06447).
