He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hopkins and Ora Adams Hopkins; his son Steven Hopkins; and his brothers, Charles "Ned" Hopkins and Jeffrey Hopkins.
He is survived by: his wife Judy Towers Hopkins; his daughter Elizabeth Hopkins (Thomas Appleton); his stepchildren, Cynthia Towers, Pamela Hurley (Timothy), Jeffrey Towers (Sue) and Douglas Towers (Anna); his brother Bruce Hopkins (Genie); and his grandchildren, Sean Hurley, Ryan Hurley, Kathryn Hurley Burroughs, James Towers, Jackson Towers, Forrest Towers, Emily Appleton and Sarah Appleton. He is also survived by five great-grandchildren.
A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 13th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the St. Mark's Episcopal Chapel (42 N Eagleville Rd, Storrs, CT 06268).
