It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Joan Conroy of Higganum, Connecticut, who passed away on May 4, 2025, at the age of 74, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Joan had on those she encountered along her journey. Though Joan may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, her essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
She was predeceased by: her husband Michael R. Conroy; her parents, Joseph Grabek and Verdith Grabek (Nichols); and her nephew James Conroy. She is survived by: her daughters, Joanna Casillo (Conroy) of Higganum and Meggan Conroy (David Anderson) of Higganum; her granddaughters, Emily Bourdon and Sarah Pierce of Higganum; and her sister Gerry Rossi of Higganum. She is also survived by in-laws, nieces, and nephews.
