Leona Couture Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Leona Couture of Higganum, Connecticut, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on April 11, 2026 at the age of 98. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, James Berry and Aurelia Berry (Smith); her husband Adrien F Couture; her son-in-law Alan Height; and her siblings, James Berry, Fred Kal, Bertha Drowston, Edrina Blow, Louise Loughery and Beverly Emerson.
She is survived by: her children, Daniel Couture (Cathie) of East Haddam, Nancy Height of Higganum, CT, Jane Lyons (Kent) of North Andover, MA, Pamela Saxton (Paul Saucier) of Eastford, CT, Joan Bragoni (Walter) of Higganum, CT and Judith Couture of Brunswick, ME; and her sister Doris Clappison of Saco, ME. She is also survived by 16 grandchildren, 9 great grandchildren, 1 great-great grandchild, as well as several nieces and nephews.
