It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gladys Johnson of Kensington, Connecticut, who passed away on January 19, 2026, at the age of 90, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
Though Gladys may no longer walk beside us, her memory will forever be enshrined in the fabric of the lives of those Gladys touched, a beacon of light guiding us through the darkness. In her absence, her spirit lives on — a gentle whisper in the breeze, a ray of sunlight on a cloudy day, a reminder that love knows no boundaries.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Chester Johnson and Elsie Johnson (Olson); her brothers, Thomas J. Farrell and John W. Farrell; and her sister-in-law Fannie A. Farrell (Donald J. Hrenko). She is also survived by many loving nieces and nephews, and their children.
Visitation was held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 from 9:30 AM to 11:00 AM at the Berlin Memorial Funeral Home (96 Main St, Kensington, CT 06037). A Mass of Christian burial was held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 at 11:30 AM at the St. Paul Church (461 Alling St, Berlin, CT 06037). A burial was held on Saturday, January 31st 2026 at the Maple Cemetery (1165 Worthington Ridge, Berlin, CT 06037).
