With solemn reverence, we commemorate Shirley Rose Margnelli (Kensington, Connecticut), born in New Britain, Connecticut, whose life came to an end on July 27, 2025 at the age of 93, leaving behind cherished memories. She was predeceased by: her parents, Rose Kellum (Chaponi) and Laurence Kellum; her brother Laurence H. Kellum; her sister-in-law Marie Kellum; and her nephew Larry Kellum.
She is survived by: her husband Norman Margnelli; her children, Rev. Pamela Rose Vollinger (Gary), Jay Margnelli (Coreen) and Mark Margnelli (Joanne); her grandchildren, Daniel Vollinger (Hannah), Kathryn Vollinger, Justin Margnelli, Joelle Margnelli and AJ Margnelli (Ashley); and her great grandchildren, Elijah Vollinger, Amara Vollinger, Brooklynn Margnelli and Grady Margnelli.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 31st 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Erickson-Hansen Funeral Home of Berlin (111 Chamberlain Hwy, Berlin, CT 06037). A memorial service will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Kensington Congregational Church (312 Percival Ave, Kensington, CT 06037).
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Kensington Congregational Church, 312 Percival Ave., Kensington, CT 06037 or the CT Audubon Society.
