Paul Abbott Obituary
We announce the death of Paul Abbott of Kent, Connecticut, born in Newburgh, New York, who passed away on June 4, 2026, at the age of 86. Paul will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Nathaniel B. Abbott and Clara Abbott (Livingston). He is survived by: his wife Terese; his daughters, Kate Abbott of Fairfax, VA and Elizabeth Ruth Greenberg (Elliot) of Kent, CT.; his siblings, Donald B. Abbott of North Andover, MA and Betsy Elkins of Syracuse, NY.; his grandchildren, Sebastian, Joaquin, Jacian Perez, Dillon Greenberg (Catherine), Kyle Greenberg (Kristen) and Corey Greenberg (Krystal); and his great grandchild Paul James Greenberg.
In remembrance of Paul's life and service the family asks that in lieu of flowers contributions may be made to South Kent School in order to establish the Paul Abbott Fund for Faculty Development.
