He was predeceased by: his parents, Elias Skyriotis and Maria Skyriotis (Rimikis); his wife Maria Skyriotis; his brother Mihali Skyriotis; and his brothers-in-law, Parasko Fasolas, Alekos Iosifidis and Sideri Leos.
He is survived by: his daughter Athena Voukounas (Kostas (Gus)); his grandson Alex Voukounas (Maria); his great grandchildren, Mia, Sophia and Athena; his grandchild Demetri Voukounas (Kaitlin Murray); his great grandchild Konstantinos (Dean); his son Ilias (Eleni); his grandsons, Michael and Christopher; his sister Stamatia Fasolas; his siblings-in-law, Sofia Skyriotis, Rena Deliou (Stelios), Evagelia Iosifidis, Toula Leos and Georgios Sezenias (Aggeliki Sezenias); and his godsons, Vasilios Sezenias and Paul Bowen. He is also survived by nieces and nephews, extended family members, and dear friends.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church (80 Water St, Danielson, CT 06239). A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the same location. A graveside service will be held on Thursday, October 8th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Westfield Cemetery North Street.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made in Dimitrios' memory to Holy Trinity Greek Orthodox Church, Box 236, Danielson, CT 06239.
