He was predeceased by: his parents, Joseph Caprio and Josephine Simone Caprio; and his sister Annette DeLuca. He is survived by: his wife Ellen Bloomingdale Caprio; his children, Lisa Humphrey (Mark), Victor Caprio Jr. (Denise), Kelly Miller (Ronald) and Steven Caprio; his grandchildren, Dr. Kayla Cullen (Mark), Samuel Humphrey, Christopher Caprio (Amanda), Nicholas Caprio, Zachary Zito (Sheryl), Jakob Zito, Kurtis, Sienna Caprio and Gavin Caprio; his great grandchild Charlotte Zito; and his brothers, Robert Caprio (North Haven) and Joseph (Elizabeth). He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, June 5th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the St. Lawrence Church (7 Hemlock Dr, Killingworth, CT 06419).
