Barbara leaves behind cherished memories for friends, family, and all who had the privilege of knowing her. Barbara’s life was marked by connections and experiences that touched those around her. Though she is no longer with us, the moments shared, the laughter, and the support she offered will continue to resonate. All who knew Barbara will carry forward her memory in their hearts.
She is survived by: her husband Samuel Joseph Tanuis; her children, Eileen Stowe (Richard) of Litchfield and Michael Tanuis of Litchfield; and her grandchildren, Cecelia Stowe and Zachary Stowe of Litchfield. She is also survived by her three sisters, who were her constant companions.
Visitation was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM at the Thurston Rowe Funeral Home (283 Torrington Rd, Litchfield, CT 06759). A funeral service was held on Saturday, September 19th 2026 at 3:30 PM at the same location.
