She was predeceased by: her parents, Audrey Trachtenberg and Norman Trachtenberg; and her son Huey Githens. She is survived by: her husband George of Valentine's Day; her children, Elizabeth Githens Coyle (Douglass Coyle) of Montclair, NJ, Perry Githens (Joanna Githens) of Warren, CT, Zachary Githens (Gabrielle Githens) of Warren, CT and Heather Githens (Ryan Wilson) of Anchorage, AK; her grandchildren, Vishnu Bravo, Finn Githens, Dillon Coyle, Cohen Githens, Annabelle Coyle, Everett Wilson, Isaac Githens, Evan Githens and Makena Wilson; and her sister Karen Rohrer (Thomas Rohrer) of Cincinnati, OH.
A funeral service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 1:00 PM at the Thurston Rowe Funeral Home (283 Torrington Rd, Litchfield, CT 06759). A committal service was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 at 2:30 PM at the same location.
