It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Joyce Gillespie Briggs (Litchfield, Connecticut), who passed away on May 6, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.

She was loved and cherished by many people including : her parents, Leonard Glen Gillespie and Marguerite Runk Gillespie; her husband Dr. Robert Briggs; her children, Kate Briggs Johnson (Martin Johnson), Margaret Briggs-Gowan (Alec Gowan) and Thomas Briggs (Marta Briggs); and her grandchildren, Andrew, Dylan Johnson, Sarah, Duncan Gowan, Carson and Grace Briggs.

“I was so saddened to hear of Joyce's passing. I feel honored to have known her for the last 25 years. I had always called her "Mrs Briggs" for about 10 or 12 years and then she finally said to me, "Rick please stop doing that! call me Joyce!"
