It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James E. Keating Jr. of Madison, Connecticut, who passed away on August 1, 2025, at the age of 83, leaving to mourn family and friends. You can send your sympathy in the guestbook provided and share it with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, James E. Jim and Ruth McKay Keating Sr. Jim; his wife Geraldine Keating; his grandson Colin Schmidt (Jessica); his siblings, Judy Kopjanski, Kevin "Dusty" Keating (Michelle) and Kimberly Keating; and his brother-in-law Peter Parillo.
He is survived by: his daughters, Kristin Schmidt (Tom) and Robyn Brady (Seth); his grandchildren, Andrew Schmidt (Yakima), Mia Brady, Hadley Brady and Wilder Brady; his great grandchildren, Grayson, Riley and Benito; and his siblings, Patricia Keating, Robert Keating (Linda), William Keating (Betsy), Dennis Keating (Peggy) and Penelope Parillo.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Porto Funeral Home (234 Foxon Rd, East Haven, CT 06513). A celebration of life will be held on Tuesday, August 12th 2025 at 5:00 PM at the same location.
