He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward J. Cushing and Mary Cushing (O'Connor); and his wife Rose Marie Cushing. He is survived by: his sons, R. Alex Cushing (Heather) and Michael B. Cushing, Jr.; his stepchildren, Gina, Valerie, Diane and Joseph; his grandchildren, R. Alex Cushing Jr., Averie and Julia; his brother Tom Cushing; his sister-in-law Nancy; his brother John; and his sisters-in-law, Terry and Patricia Cushing. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
