He was predeceased by: his wife Nancy T. DiPietro (Tuzzolino); his parents, Joseph DiPietro and Rose DiPietro (Motto); and his sister Grace DiPietro of New Britain. He is survived by: his son Marc J. DiPietro (Alecia) of Glastonbury; his sister Nancy Quistberg of Louisville, KY; his siblings-in-law, Lucia Miles of East Hartford and Joseph A. Tuzzolino of East Hartford; Tom Brown (Suzanne) of Manchester. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
