He was predeceased by: his father Robert E. Armstrong; his wife Donna; and his stepparents, Patricia Armstrong and Dennis Scriven. He is survived by: his mother Laura Scriven (Hills) of Coventry, CT; his daughters, Rebecca Varney (James) of Tolland, CT, Kristina Santasiere (Richard) of Granby, CT and Nicole Armstrong (Eric Englehart) of Manchester, CT; his grandchildren, Devin Santasiere, Trey Santasiere, Mason Varney, Taryn Varney and Callie Santasiere; and his siblings, Robert Armstrong (Deborah) of Stafford, CT, Susan Armstrong (Gene Julian) of Stafford, CT and Dawn Ouellette (Darren) of Somers, CT. He is also survived by many other family members and friends.
He was especially proud of the baby hats he loom-knitted and donated to Manchester Hospital's Maternity unit.
