He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Carl Houghton and Carol Houghton; his wife Kate Herlihy; his son Donald Houghton Jr. (Kayla) of Charleston, SC; his grandchildren, Libby, Mattingly, Evvy and Donald "Tripp" Houghton III; his daughter Stephanie Houghton of Andover; his grandchild Ashton; his daughter Jacquelyn McKenzie (Keith) of Andover; his grandsons, Gavin and Mason; his child Morrgan Herlihy (Erik Bachmann) of Wallingford; and his siblings, Brian Houghton (Karen) of Cape Canaveral, FL and Cheryl Mayhew (Phil) of Andover. He was also cherished by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in Don's name to either the Andover or Hebron Fire Department.
