Ida Marie Anderson Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Ida Marie Anderson (Manchester, Connecticut), whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on October 20, 2025 at the age of 88. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her husband Wayne A. Anderson; her parents, Herman Johnson and Mildred Johnson (Berggren); her sister Ruth M. Johnson; and her brother-in-law Ron Prentice.
She is survived by: her sister Barbara Prentice of Eugene; her sister-in-law Janet Acker of Statesville, NC; and her sibling's children, Sara, Eryn Manela, Wendy, Rob Hand and Paul Acker (Cheri). She is also survived by numerous extended family members, cousins, nieces, and a nephew.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 24th 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home (400 Main St, Manchester, CT 06040). A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Emanuel Lutheran Church (60 Church St, Manchester, CT 06040).
In honor of Ida's memory, the family suggests donations be made to Emanuel Lutheran Church, Manchester CT and the Visiting Nurse and Health Services of CT, 8 Keynote Dr. Vernon, CT, both causes close to her heart.
