He was loved and cherished by many people including: his children, Anne Sargent (Bruce) of Murrells Inlet, SC, Ellen Melko of Charlestown, RI, John Burns Farley, III (Nancy Sinchak-Farley) of Bloomfield, CT, Mary Todesca (James) of Savannah, GA and Margaret Ring (Bill) of Lake Geneva, WI.; his grandchildren, Neil Sargent (Kelley), Brian, Sean, Owen, Michael Farley, Danny Todesca, Margaret Todesca Kling (JT), Jimmy, Moira and Brendan Ring; his great grandchildren, Sophia Sargent and Finn Farley; his sister-in-law Joan McManus of Westfield, MA; his daughter-in-law Claudia Triggs; his wife Elizabeth; his parents, John and Helen; his sister Denise; and his son-in-law Jay Melko. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews.
The family requests donations in John's memory to the Westerly Public Library and the Westerly-Pawcatuck YMCA.
