He was predeceased by: his wife Ellen; his daughters, Jamie, Cynthia Bielawski (Deacon Alan Bielawski) and Paula Ritchie (Steven Ritchie); his granddaughter Jessica Backiel (John Paul Backiel); his great grandchildren, Ginny, Birdie and Buck Backiel; Daniel Ritchie.

He is survived by: his son John. He is also survived by his wife "Dee" of 63 years.
