She was predeceased by: her husband Willard E. McDermott; her parents, Esther Knight and James Knight; her son Jeffery McDermott; her brother James Knight; her sons-in-law, Steven Bedard and Victor Kinamon; and her grandson Karll Kinamon.
She is survived by: her daughters, Karen Harden (Chuck) of Chattanooga, TN, Nancy Hennick (Tom) of Durham and Sharlene Bedard of Glastonbury; her daughter-in-law Susan McDermott of Glastonbury; her grandchildren, Kariann Richardson (Cris), Kristin Case (Paul), Kirk Kinamon (Lindsey), Aimee Germ (Jeff), David Harden (Karen), Meghan Hennick, Jamie Hennick (James), Holly Hennick (Michael), Paul Bedard (Rick), Scott Bedard and Joyce Bedard; her foster son Michael Strohmeier (Karen); her sister-in-law Anne Knight; and her niece Laura Knight. She is also survived by 8 great grandchildren.
