Linda will be remembered for the time spent with loved ones and the moments that brought joy to those around her. Friends and family will honor Linda by reflecting on shared memories and the positive influence she had in their lives. Though Linda is no longer present, the bonds she created and the experiences shared will endure. Linda’s memory will continue to be a source of comfort for all who knew her.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Werner Erickson and Elsie Erickson. She is survived by: her husband Maylord Hempstead; her children, Scott Hempstead of East Hartford, Lisa Smith of Manchester and Craig Hempstead (John) of New York City; and her grandsons, Erick Smith and Kyle Smith. She is also survived by several nephews and nieces.
Visitation was held on Thursday, September 10th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Tierney Funeral Home (219 W Center St, Manchester, CT 06040). A funeral service was held on Friday, September 11th 2026 at 10:00 AM at the Emanuel Lutheran Church (60 Church St, Manchester, CT 06040).
