He was loved and cherished by many people including: his parents, Bruno and Elsa; his wife Ginny; his stepdaughters, Christine, Sharon, Sue and Ginger; his sister Karin; and his brother-in-law George. He was also cherished by nieces and nephews, and many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Donations in his memory may be made in his name to the Cure Alzheimer's Fund, Charity Navigator's most highly rated Alzheimer's research charity, and the American Cancer Society.
