She was predeceased by: her parents, George Caron and Denise Caron (Nadeau); and her siblings, Jean-Paul Caron, Hermance Winshell, Georgette LaPlante and Odette Kennedy.

She is survived by: her husband Jerry Martin; her sons, Brian Martin (Patricia) of Somers and Bill Martin (Brenda Barlow) of Avon; her grandchildren, Bradley Martin (Alicia) of South Windsor and Chelsea Martin of Easton, Massachusetts; her great grandchild Casey Martin; and her brothers, Hermel Caron (Denise), Albe Caron (Sue), Clermont Caron (Jolene) and John Caron (Donna). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Rachel's name to the Alzheimer's Drug Discovery Foundation.
