He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert Tilden and Vivian Tilden (Stone); his wife Jane; his in-laws, James and Kathryn Meacham; and his siblings, Robert Tilden, Lorraine Phaneuf and Beverly Lestage.
He is survived by: his children, Raymond Tilden Jr. (Christine), Lisa Tilden Pollock (George) and Jane Tilden Germond (Paul); his grandchildren, Raymond Tilden III (Carolyn Coyle) and Jenna Tilden; his great grandchild William Tilden; his grandchildren, Sara Pollock Yip (Michael) and Zachary Pollock; his great grandchildren, George and Astrid Yip; his granddaughters, Kathryn, Megan and Jessica Germond; his siblings-in-law, Mary Meacham Marcial (David) and James Meacham (Judi); his sisters, Elizabeth Edgecomb (Terence) and Barbara Gross; and his nephew Michael Johnson (Nicole). He is also survived by "Pop Pop" to his grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, August 8th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the East Cemetery (220 E Center St, Manchester, CT 06040).
In lieu of flowers, those who wish to honor his memory are welcome to make a donation to the Connecticut Humane Society or the National Ovarian Cancer Coalition—two causes that held special meaning for him.
