With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Raymond James Johnson of Manchester, Connecticut, born in Hartford, Connecticut, who passed away on October 9, 2023 at the age of 83. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Norman Johnson and Helen Johnson (Roche); his son Steven Johnson; his brothers, William Johnson and Richard Johnson; and his brothers-in-law, Robert Oliver and Howard Vallier.

He is survived by: his children, Judy, David Sawtelle of Vernon, Michelle, Thomas Smith of Manchester, Shawn and Heather Johnson of Manchester; his grandchildren, Allison, Alex, Austin Sawtelle, Carter Johnson, Clara and Evelyn Smith; his former wife Karen Johnson of Manchester; and his nieces and nephews, Robert (Lynette Johnson), Sue Johnson, Debbie Vallier, Stanley (Valerie Johnson), Kenny (LouEllen Johnson) and Alice Oliver.
