With sadness, we share the passing of Ryan Dennis Purington (Manchester, Connecticut). Ryan, born on August 28, 1979, passed away on August 29, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his father Dennis W. Purington of Palmdale, CA; his grandparents, Ivory, Ruth Purington, Edward and Carolyn Sheehan (Jackie); his great-uncle Bill Smith; and his great-grandparent Anne Ryan Sheehan.
He is survived by: his mother Joan M. Sheehan of Andover, CT.; his aunts and uncles, Michael, Joan Sheehan of Sacramento, CA, John, Janet Sheehan of Coventry, CT, Carolyn Sheehan of Weare, NH, Patricia Myers of Concord, NH, Nancy Sheehan of Enfield, NH and Ellen (Paul Chatel (Seattle); and his cousins, Elizabeth Sheehan of Bethlehem, PA, Rebecca Sheehan of Ellington, CT, Matthew Sheehan of Ithaca, NY and Katelyn Sheehan of Salinas, CA.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, September 8th 2026 from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM at the Holmes-Watkins Funeral Home (400 Main St, Manchester, CT 06040). A burial was held on Wednesday, September 9th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the Townsend Cemetery.
