He was predeceased by: his parents, John Gembala and Ewa Gembala; and his sisters, Josephine Dubiel (Joe) of Sterling Heights, MI, Teresa Baszak (Bruno) of New Bedford and Jane (George).
He is survived by: his wife Jeannette "Jan" Marguerite Benoit; his children, Tania Sechriest (Walter III) of Washington, DC, John "Tad" Gembala of Simsbury, James "Jamie" Gembala (Denise) of Pembroke Pines, FL and Amy Gibbons (Jarrod) of Newburyport, MA; and his siblings, Mary Holland (Mal) of Vernon, CT, Etta Scavotto (late John) of Vernon, CT and Ray Gembala (Elaine) of West Hartford, CT. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.
