She was predeceased by: her parents, Paul D. Schmanska and Annette Schmanska (Branche). She is survived by: her husband Michael P. Balon Jr.; her son Michael P. Balon III (Tara) of Barre; her brother David Schmanska (Sonja) of Maine; and her siblings-in-law, James Balon of West Virginia and Kathleen Chieka (Robert) of Georgia. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
