He was predeceased by: his mother Anna Tomkunas (Kiskunes); and his sisters-in-law, Bonnie, Alice, Alberta and Helen Warrington.

He is survived by: his father Alexander Tomkunas; his wife Patricia (Warrington); his children, Mary (Michael Sponzo) of West Hartford, Patricia (Peter Borjestedt) of Manchester, Michael (Deborah) of Coventry and Joseph (Julie) of South Windsor; his nephew John Warrington (Melanie); his great-nephew Matthew; his great-niece Emily; his friends, Linus and Kate Deasy; his grandchildren, Linnea, Markus, Michael, Benjamin, Hogan, Zoe, Cameron and Josie; his great grandchild Blakely; and his siblings, Barbara Klingel of East Hartford, Alex and Raymond Tomkunas of Ellington. He is also survived by Many nieces, nephews, extended family, and numerous friends.
