He was predeceased by : his parents, William Robert and Helen Anita Bacon (Dreesen). He is survived by : his wife Mary Bacon (Popeleski); his daughters, Annie Lynn Bacon of Brisbane and Karen Ann Bacon Rogers of Gonzales, Louisiana; his brother Mitchell Bacon (Audrey); his nephew Michael; and his niece Leah Bacon.

“I only recently learned of Scott’s passing. I have to say, that he may have been the kindest man I met in my life… He was so full of life and happiness when I last saw him, more than 50 years ago. I would also like to think he may have been a great husband and father, at least that’s how I would like to think of him. I met him when I was a lost soul, nowhere to go, having no idea what to do and where to go, but he took me in with few questions asked. I never forgot it!, And always thought of him”
