He was predeceased by: his parents, John Pehota and Caroline Pehota (Koba); and his siblings, Thomas Pehota, Julie Pehota, Florence Sokoloski, Lorentina "Nelly" Beckley, Frances McElveen, Helen Iverson and Cecelia Stannard.
He is survived by: his wife Anna Mae (Siecienski); his children, Joseph Pehota (Laura) of Fairfield and Carolyn Bean (John) of Marion; his siblings, Edward "Gene" Pehota (Judy) of Middletown and Stasia D'Aquila of East Hampton; and his grandchildren, Elizabeth, Michael, Jenny Pehota, Jonathan Bean (Akanksha), Ashley Bean Macri (Kyle) and Elise Bean. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
