He was predeceased by: his parents, John Thomas Rodgers and Elizabeth Ann Mlinek; his grandparents, Angelique and Allison; his sons, John W. Rodgers Jr. and Guy Marshall Rodgers; his brother Thomas Rodgers; his in-laws, Wanda, Walter Kleinert, Shirley, Ed Dumelin, Chirstine, Robert Kjar and Wendell Lawson; and his parents-in-law, George, Kathleen Lawson and John.
He is survived by: his wife Florence E. Rodgers (Lawson); his friend Henry; his grandchild Disney; his daughter Kathleen (Paul Bernaiche) of Marlborough, CT.; his daughters-in-law, Kay Rodgers and Roisin Smith; his grandchildren, Garth, Leesa, Garan, Arielle, Joe, Megan, Julio, Jennifer, Pedro, Justin, Kassi of Niki, TJ, Tamara, Cody, Diana, Iggy, Nora and Elijah; his great grandchildren, Dajainay, Zhakarey, Anya, Rayna, Landen, Thomas, Chloe, Xander, Ava and Evan; his adoptive children, David, Dale and Mark; his siblings, Caroline Blier, Jean Kozlowski and Jean Lawson; and his friends, Bernie Rooney and Alberta Martucci.
Visitation will be held on Friday, August 1st 2025 from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM at the Rose Hill Funeral Home (580 Elm St, Rocky Hill, CT 06067). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, August 2nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Donations in John's name may be made to Wounded Warrior or St. Jude Children's Hospital.
