Brian Edward Smith Obituary

With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Brian Edward Smith of Meriden, Connecticut, who passed away on October 23, 2025 at the age of 69. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, William E. Smith (Bubby) and Joyce Knight Smith; Roger, Patty, Pam, Laurel and Brenda.

He is survived by: his wife Kelly Smith; his children, Charlotte Smith (Mark Carvalho), Heather McCotter (Mark McCotter), Haylee Maya (Jon Maya), Heidi Ferguson (Brett Ferguson), Holly Oakes (Stephan Oakes) and Dwayne (Amanda Smith); his grandchildren, Alecia, Mitchell, Madison, Jaiden, Dakoda, Maliyah, Janiyah, Ariyah, Eavie, Nathan, Kaitlan, Benjamin and Cameron; and his sisters, Jean Lindsay, Diane Lucier and Susan St. Pierre. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 30th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the John J. Ferry & Sons Funeral Home (88 E Main St, Meriden, CT 06450). A graveside service will be held on Friday, October 31st 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Walnut Grove Cemetery (817 Old Colony Rd, Meriden, CT 06451).
