She was predeceased by : her husband Nicholas Riss; her parents, Theodore Skorupski and Bertha Skorupski (LaHaye); her son Daniel; her father-in-law Nicholas Riss; her brother Roger Barriere (Valerie); and her brother-in-law John Heald.

She is survived by : her daughters, Denise Nowakowski (Mark) of Colchester, CT and Rebecca Gay (Dan) of Avondale, AZ; her grandchildren, Rachel, Ryan Nowakowski, Nicole, Abigail Riss, Alyssa Segar and Danielle Gay; her mother-in-law Mary Riss of Meriden, CT; and her siblings-in-law, Joyce Heald of Poultney, VT and Robert Riss (Mariette) of Meriden, CT.. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews and cousins.

“We were just reminiscing about the wonderful times we shared with Charlotte; reading movie magazines, dancing, skating, hanging at the park and listening to our old 45s. Although we hadn’t seen Charlotte in many years, we always kept her in our thoughts and always hoped to see her at one of our class reunions. But sadly, it wasn’t to be. Peace to all who loved her. Peace to Charlotte. Sheila Toby Wolf Sullivan & Karen Silvia Shapiro”
