David I. Kapuscinski Obituary
It is with sadness that the passing of David I. Kapuscinski (Meriden, Connecticut) is shared. David, born on January 2, 1952, passed away on September 7, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edmund Kapuscinski and Josephine Kapuscinski (Slavich). He is survived by: his wife Kathleen Kapuscinski (Newton); his daughter Kelly O'Donnell (Kevin) of Germany; his grandchildren, Aidan, Audrey, Adelaide and Alec; his son Kevin Kapuscinski (Love) of Japan; his grandchildren, Kirsten, Kaitlyn, Kelsey, Kimberly and Kayleigh; his sister Carol King; and his uncle Donald Slavich. He is also survived by several nieces; and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM at the Meriden Memorial Funeral Home (450 Broad St, Meriden, CT 06450). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the St. Stanislaus Church (82 Akron St, Meriden, CT 06450). The military honors will be held on Thursday, September 17th 2026 from 12:00 PM to 12:30 PM at the St. Stanislaus Cemetery (384 Ann St, Meriden, CT 06450).
In lieu of flowers, friends and family are asked to make donations in David's name to the Sisters of Mount Carmel (Carmel of Port Tobacco, 5678 Mount Carmel Road, La Plata, MD 20646-3625) with checks payable to Discalced Carmelite Nuns of Maryland, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (P.O. Box 1000, Dept. 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142).
